Winter break 2013: Grand Canyon, LA, and San Francisco!

It is currently spring break but only now I'm updating about my winter break trip. I'm a journalism major and knows all about deadlines. Go figure.

But I had a LOT of fun and these places are ones that I've only dreamed of going. Places that I thought can only be seen on my television screen. Turns out they're real! And absolutely wonderful.

I LOVED San Francisco. It is my favorite city in the US by far. Yup, even better than New York. It's pretty underrated I would say. The city is just so, chill. I think it's perfect for people who still wants a little taste of the hustle and bustle of the city but still near enough to get away to the ocean and beautiful piers.

Los Angeles was not too bad, but I often feel unsafe and the city is pretty dirty. A lot of the sidewalks smell like pee… and so many homeless people… but anyway. The tourist attraction itself aren't that many, unless you want to go to Universal Studios. Also another thing about LA is the attractions are SO far apart! Just spread out all over. We went to Santa Monica and it took us an hour to go back and fro. The same with Burbank.

Grand Canyon was too grand to be described with words. Absolutely stunning and I just kept thinking, HOW IS THIS REAL? How is this majestic landscape not on a postcard but in front my eyes!? SubhanAllah.

I'm not sure if you can watch the videos right on this page or you'll have to click "Watch on Youtube" due to the copyright infringement. Either way, hope you enjoy the videos and excuse my voice and awkwardness! :)
