So I received two requests from my formspring to blog about something. (I think it's my dad but whatever)
1) Can u blog about your Ramadan experience, just curious what Muslims normally do during that month
I wrote VERY LONG post about this but then it sounded very, weird. It's just so simple. And I'M SURE whoever asked that already know the answer but just want me to answer it. So um,
And here are two things that pissed me off about fasting.
1) Some whiny people who wrote on their twitter/facebook like 'I'm hungry'.

Like what in the world. Of course you're hungry. THAT'S THE POINT OF IT. Stop whining, GOD.
2) Some stupid people who fast because they feel they're starving themselves and thus, they'll be thinner.
LIKE HELLO. THAT'S NOT THE POINT OF IT.
And seriously. I hate to break it out to you, but when raya(Eid) comes, you'll be fatter than ever. Who can resist the food!? OMNOMNOMNOM.
AND ALSO, listen to yourself while you're saying the niat. At the end of it, it stated : ...kerana Allah Ta'ala. You fast because of Him. Not 'Sahaja aku berpuasa kerana aku ingin kurus. '

HAHAHAHAHAHA.
2) anis! tell us abt ur taylor swift public speaking speech!!
I've never mentioned about this on my blog but I did on my twitter and tumblr. But anyway.
For our public speaking class, we had to give a 2-minute speech on someone/event that made you who you are today.
Originally, I wanted to talk about Betty Suarez(because I wrote an essay about her once and it was really awesome hahaha) or Oprah but then, I thought of : Taylor Swift.
HATERS TO THE LEFT. HATER TO THE LEFT ~
But it's true. She did impact my life in that way. My original speech was 10 minutes but I had to cut down some parts and it turned to be 5 minutes.
The reason I hesitated to talk about Taylor Swift at the first place was because last week my lecturer said the song Two Is Better Than One is ‘a rubbish song’.
Then I thought; SCREW IT.
And so here's my speech. (More or less, I wasn't nervous at first because I was quite prepared, but then when I go in front of the class I was nervous like hell. So I might miss some words)
This speech is where Taylor Swift fans will read the whole thing and nod in agreement and her haters will just skip, roll eyes and say whatever. I knew it. HAHA.
THE SPEECH.
Can you imagine life without music? Well I can’t. For me, music has become a necessity almost like food, water or air. I don’t think there is one day passed by without me listening to music. I find that music has a way of saying things you couldn’t say with words. And there is one singer I personally think who’re amazing at doing that, Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift has impacted my life in every way.
First of all, for those of you who are not familiar with Taylor Swift, she is a singer from Nashville, USA with curly blonde hair, very tall, very skinny, and very beautiful. Some of her hit songs are Teardrops On My Guitar, Love Story, Fifteen, and You Belong With Me.
One of the main reasons I look up to her is because of her songs. She writes all of her songs and I can relate to a lot of it. When I’m having a bad day, I’ll listen to her songs. When I need that flicker of hope that everything will be okay, I listen to her songs. She might be one of the biggest superstars right now, but she was a teenager. She went through what most teenagers go through. The breakups, the heartbreaks, that feeling of first day of school and having no one to talk to, liking someone from afar. I went through all that and it’s nice to know that I’m not alone.
She made me want to be a better person. I love her personality. I love how she treats her fans like they’re her friends. A few months ago, she did this 13 hour meet n greet. NON STOP. It turned out to be 15 hour actually. She’s funny and nice to everyone.I think she’s a beautiful person inside and out. She has won a lot of awards including the Grammys beating out Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas and others but she stayed humble. She’s a role model. She does not go out clubbing and wear tight, teeny tiny clothes.
I know some people would just cringe hearing her name, not in a good way. Well people judge and haters will hate. First, some people think she’s overrated, but it’s probably because they’ve heard only the singles. The songs you heard on the radio. If you want to get to know Taylor Swift, you need to listen to her ALBUMS, not her SINGLES. She is deep. She can write songs like nobody’s business.
Second, some people think she only sing about love, fairytales and all that. Who doesn’t? Michael Jackson did, The Beatles, Madonna did. And nowadays Lady Gaga and Kesha sing about sex and partying all the time.We have Travie McCoy who sing about wanting to become 'a billionaire so freaking bad', when he already IS a millionaire. So what's wrong singing about love? Love makes the world go round anyway.
I'm not obsessed about Taylor Swift, I don't have her posters up all over my room, but I look up to her as a role model. She's not perfect and that's fine with me. I look up to her like an older sister or even a best friend. Because if there's one thing I learn in life, it's that people haven't always been there for me, but music always has. Thank you.
Last week my lecturer said the song Two Is Better Than One is ‘a rubbish song’.
But after my speech, she smiled and said : ‘You really opened my eyes about Taylor Swift. I never saw her that way. Now someone needs to convince me about Justin Bieber.’

But sorry Ms., I'm immune to the Bieber Fever. That's out of my area of expertise.
