Precious enough.
You know what I just realize? Nobody in this world is unique.
You can correct me if you think I'm wrong.
Put it this way; If YOU think you're unique, so does almost everyone else in this world. Which, in turn, does not make you unique after all. Get it?
How many times you ever looked at someone and thought, 'OMG she reminds me exactly of my friend back home!' Someone probably have said to you you remind them of someone else too. Personally, I don't feel it's a compliment when someone says that. Of course I'm flattered that you actually thought of me, thank you. But it just proves that you're so normal, common.
You can never say for sure there's no one else in this world like you. You can't prove that. Well exception to some people like Gandhi, Oprah, and others who made history, those who've made it into Guinness World Book of Records, but out of six billion people in this world, we're so... ordinary.
Isn't that just sad?
Ever heard the phrase 'You're one in a million'? Well guess what. There are six billion people in this world, and IF you are one in a million, that means there are 5999 others just like you. Don't feel that special now, eh?
We're just another someone in this world.
And whatever you're going through, somebody in this world are most likely have been/going through exactly the same thing.
There are over six billion people in the world right now, if everyone was equally as talented or gifted or had an amazingly unique idea, people like Bill Gates, Audrey Hepburn, and Lady Gaga wouldn’t get their chance to shine, and that’s just the way it is.
But one thing I learned is, don't ever think you're insignificant. Sure, there are thousands of people like you in this world, but if you do not exist, the world would be different. You brought great joy to your parents when you came into this world, you made your friends laugh and you, are someone's answer to hope. You are, or were The One for someone in this world. You made someone's day and you probably don't even know it. You hurt someone and you probably don't even know it.
Not everyone is lucky enough to find that something extra special in themselves that made them stood out from the crowd. The X-factor. The 'it' factor. Not everyone get their chance to shine.
But why bother? Everybody has their moments. It's always the little moments that add up to be the great one. Though you might not impact other people's lives, you did it with your family, your friends, your loved ones. Sure you're not in history books of the world, but you ARE in someone's history. Someone's past, present and who knows, future. And that, to me is precious enough.
