When Apple was just a fruit.

I was just eating at a restaurant with free Wi-Fi and I thought, if I were to open a restaurant, I WON'T offer free Wi-Fi and maybe I'll put up this sign :

No, we don't have Wi-Fi here.
Your family/friends are in front of you.
Spend time with them, not on your Facebook. That can wait.
No need to check in on your foursquare either, nobody cares.
Unless you're a celebrity in which case our password is ____ and we'd appreciate you promoting us.

Thank you.

I love myself. LOLOL.
But seriously! What has the world come into. I see kids, 2 or 3 years old and they have an iPad in their hands. What happened to 'main masak-masak'? Or 'pukul berapa datuk harimau'? Or 'ting ting' (hopscotch)? Or 'enjit enjit semut siapa sakit naik atas'? Or congkak, batu seremban?

I grew up with that stuff. And I'm proud of that. The 'high-tech stuff' I had when I was 3 was what, playing Snake on my mom's phone? C'mon. Admit it you loved the game too. Such a bad-ass phone I tell you.

I know I can't blame the parents, what more the kids themselves, it's just how this generation works. I admit when I have my own children I'll most likely give them something similar to an iPad, or way more advanced technology to play with anyway. And while braiding their hair I'll tell them the games I played when I was little, and they'd think how weird, why would anyone want to play that? That's silly. Where's the fun in that?

Sigh, how times will change. Kinda sad if you think about it.

Speaking of iPad, and Apple-related gadgets, this may be a little late but may Steve Jobs rest in peace.

Went to Machines at Mid Valley the other day and this board was put up. Fun reading the notes, though some were plain stupid. My favorite was 'You made me love music again'. I didn't think it was possible to ya know, hate music. "You made me love music - again." I wonder what her/his story is.

ps; Sometimes when a random song gets stuck in my head with no apparent reason, ie I haven't listened to that song for ages, I didn't listen to it recently, it's not a new song, etc., I'd like to think it's actually stuck in my soulmate's head. AH HAH HAH HA. In which case my soulmate has a pretty lame taste in music. It's okay when we meet I'll give you some new song suggestions to listen to. No you don't have to listen to Taylor Swift if you don't want to.

pss; I am completely OBSESSED with The Big Bang Theory. (I tweet about it 98% of the time now and nobody gets what I tweet about). Sometimes I would smile to myself (which I think I do quite a lot these days) because I remembered jokes on the show or anything from the bloopers. Ahh seriously this show makes me so happy! And waiting for the next episode is just excruciating.
