I don't know about other students but making the bibliography page is actually fun for me, but.. anyway.
Maybe because it's now deeply rooted in my mind to give credits for everything (well look at that won't my lecturers be so proud. Tsk tsk) that it pisses me off when people don't do it in real life. Especially in real life because if you didn't do it in your assignment(s) nobody cares, the only person who'd read it is your lecturer and it's your marks that might or might not be affected.
What I'm annoyed by is when you don't credit stuff, some people would think that YOU made it. You typed that great blog post and some of your friends believed that you wrote it and they suggest you should write a book because of how wonderful it was and your previous posts were great too but really your blog is made up of stuff you copy from someone else and when I commented on that you immediately make your blog private nice move. I'm not pointing fingers at someone.. oh you know, just an example. A really elaborative example of
Same goes for pictures. Of course, a really professional-looking photos people won't think YOU took it but now it's all about perspective.
How would you feel if people steal YOUR work, something you worked hard for, either a blog post, essay, picture, painting, poem, an edit or a gif(it's a tumblr thing) and they don't acknowledge you as the creator of that 'piece of art'? Won't you be pissed? Sometimes I'm the one pissed off eventhough the work is not mine.
(On a sidenote, you can't technically copy from my blog.. try hitting right click anywhere on this page and you'll get a special message hur hur)
If you don't know who's the owner of that photo, don't use it. Simple as that. As for blog post, sure you can get the inspiration from someone else but not copy the ENTIRE post, that's ridiculous. Have some originality and creativity. You might think your post is not good, but that's okay. Over time, it will improve. Just try, not steal because that won't benefit you whatsoever other than improving your skill in Copy and Paste stuff which I'd hate to break it out to you, but 10-year-old can do it too.
Okay I'll just give some example. These are not like, the 'official' way to do it but it'll do if it's for blogging. If you want to do citation for your assignment you can Google it, of course.
PICTURES.
Say for whatever reason you want to put this picture in your blog,

-- Just link it to the original source. I've seen some people even put 'Google Image' as the source but hey that's better than nothing.
QUOTES.
"Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from the inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves." - Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet In Heaven.
-- Just put the author's name and the book title if it's from a book. Same goes for lyrics. Whenever I see like, ~*~*poetic*~*~ status and a lot of people liked it, I always Google it and sure enough it's from someone else. That's just irksome.
It'd be nice if you can credit(meaning link) someone's blog if you got the inspiration from them too.
I mean, really. It's not that difficult, people. Nobody likes someone fake, trust me.
To you-know-who-you-are, I don't mean to start a fight or anything but does it make you feel better when people compliment you of having a good blog, when you know it's just made up of stuff you didn't even write? Because that's just... uhm wow. Messed up. You can do better, dude. I know you can.
I just have to tell you guys this.
So the other night I was sleeping and I've set my alarm at 5:30 a.m. But then suddenly in the middle of the night I heard my name was called by a.. slow, but a little bit high-pitched voice.. from a distance.
'ANIS!'
I immediately stood up straight.
My first thought was it was my mom calling me, and I was already late to college. I looked at the watch and thought it's 5:38 a.m., but it was actually 4:38 a.m. Then I went back to sleep but now that I think about it, it was pretty scary.. I was almost sure I heard it but I was probably just dreaming. WELL I SURE HOPE I WAS.
DUN DUN DUNN.
And yet another boring story from a boring life brought to you by Anis Filza, a pretty boring person. I mean like seriously though, like what I tweeted the other day; I'm such a boring person to talk to. I feel like people are just going to burst into tears and die of boredom when I talk to them.
