burning bridges, making wishes.

obsessed
Adjective;
thinking about someone or something all the time

-----

hey, remember those days when i was obsessed with TWILIGHT? my blog post pretty much was all about Edward, Twilight, more Twilight.

and after that, i think i was obsessed with David Archuleta. ;)
again, my blog was full of his pictures.

for quite some time, i blogged about Kris Allen(but i wasn't obsessed about him) and much to my surprise, a LOT,(i do mean, A LOT) of people visited my blog because of that. so i stopped.

and now, i think it's Boys Like Girls :) :)
[this post is basically about why i love them so much@how amazing they are. haha. so if you're not interested, just click that small box with an X on top right corner. ;) but i'd appreciate it if you do xD]

----

i've googled pretty much everything about them. watched pretty much every video about them on youtube.

i think i have the tendency to be a stalker.
seriously.

but the harmless type. i mean, they're rockstars, obviously i'm not the only one obsessed about them. i didn't tattoo their name or something.

anyway, i think it all started after i met them. obviously.
i admit i was a fan of BLG, but not a HUGE FAN like i am now ;p

AND, contrary to popular belief, i didn't like them because of their looks. yea yea the lead singer is so hot, the guitarist is so cute, bla bla bla. but the #1 thing i love about them is, their songs! the lyrics! the lyrics are deep.

TheGreatEscape:
All of the wasted time
The hours that were left behind
The answers that we'll never find
They don't mean a thing tonight

TheFirstOne:
The first one is the worst one,
When it comes to a broken heart,
Your first love, yeah, you're so young,
And you feel like a fallin' star

ChemicalsCollide:
I've had a couple heartbreaks
But you're telling me that it's all right
'Cause all the others were mistakes
Yeah, I think this time I finally got it right with you

OnTopOfTheWorld:
When the moon is gone forever
I hope you're up there somewhere
I'll see you again
Be with you my friend
'Cause all the roads they lead to where you are
And all the streetlights shine like they were stars
That's where you are

and i wish the song Thunder, was written about me ;) which girl doesn't?

Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder

i LOVE listening to this song when it rains. the feeling, i dont know; it's unexplainable. hope, miracles. ;)

and oh, the song 'GO',

get up and go, take a chance and be strong
or you could spend your whole life holding on
dont look back just go, take a breath, move along
or you could spend your whole life holding on

i cried when i listen to this song. heard it when i was feeling low, and just hits me.
GO. go listen to that song. now.

there's too many lyrics for me to type it here. heh.
i bought the Love Drunk album, and i love every single song!

and guess what? the lead singer, Martin Johnson wrote/co-wrote all of 'em!
isn't it awesome? i want to marry a songwriter. ;)
if you haven't read his blog, you should. do it. right now.
read his latest post ; martinsays.com

quote from that page ;

" time to let the music speak for itself and i really hope you like it. i hope you listen close. to those who purchased the record these past few weeks, thank you from the bottom of my heart. if you downloaded it illegally or burnt it from a friend, that’s ok too. i would much rather you have this record for free than not at all, and i’ve learned to accept the way most modern music is acquired. "

see?? he doesn't care if people downloaded their songs from limewire or whatever. it shows he doesn't give a damn about money, fame, and all that temporary, overrated thing. it's about the music.

"if you’ve had the chance to listen to the record, whether you dig it or not, you’ve held a remote control and sat front row to a uncensored view into the depths of our personal lives. you’ve heard three years worth of true life lyrics, torn out pages of a private journal…exposed in melodic form."

in some way, Boys Like Girls is kinda similar to Taylor Swift , which is a good thing. they both write songs about real thing that happened to them, they 'exposed' their feelings and wear their hearts on their sleeves. i love that about them.

sometimes i replayed back the tape i recorded on my mind the day i met them, the feeling, but it wasn't the same. i wish i can go back to that day and capture that feeling in a bottle. so whenever i feel sad/low, i'd just open up that bottle to get a whiff of the happiness i felt that day. and i know i'd be okay. everything's going to be all right. ;)

ps; i know i sound like, uh, a NORMAL teenager? ahaha. the teenage girl who has her favorite band poster on her bedroom wall, the one who scream and squeal whenever her favorite song was on the radio,.. so i'll just enjoy being a teenager. :)

"One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain."
— Bob Marley
